The Lucky Favazz Melt

Every now and then you meet someone who enjoys your product and then they totally blow you away with their own creation. That’s exactly what KSHE 95 morning host Guy Favazza did. When he said he makes his tuna fish salad with Lucky Lola’s - I have to be honest, I was a little bit skeptical about the combination! I asked Favazz for the recipe and being the Great Favazz, he kindly obliged. Last weekend my partner and I gathered up the ingredients and set out to recreate what Favazz was raving about. Let me tell you something, this tuna melt rocks! So without further ado Lucky Lola’s is proud to share with you this great recipe for your own enjoyment.

Ingredients:

9 oz can of white albacore tuna, drained

3 Tbsp Mayonnaise

1/2 Tbsp Dijon mustard

3 Tbsp Lucky Lola’s Sweet Jalapiña Heat

Salt and pepper to taste

Drain any excess water from the tuna and put in bowl. Add mayonnaise and Dijon to tuna first. You’ll want to add more mayo than mustard. Stir mixture until it becomes spreadable but not watery. Add Lucky Lola’s. I usually add 2 tablespoons but you can add more. Stir in and add salt and pepper. At this point you could eat straight from the bowl! But I like to make the melt. Melt butter in a sauté pan and add a slice of bread. Add a piece of cheese (your choice) and then add tuna mixture.  Top with the other half of bread and brown both sides. I’ve found that milk tastes even better with this because of Lucky Lola’s. That sweet and heat you just can’t be beat.

Scarf it down!
